Parallel stabilized finite element algorithms for incompressible flow at high Reynolds numbers

摘  要:In this talk, we shall report some parallel stabilized finite element algorithms for theconvection dominated incompressible flows. The parallel algorithms are based on overlapping domain decomposition and use a two-grid discretization strategy. Two parallel strategies are employed. In the first parallel strategy, a stabilized nonlinear Navier-Stokes system is first solved on a coarse grid, and then corrections are calculated in overlapped fine grid subdomains by solving a local stabilized linear problem. While in the second parallel strategy, each processor computes a local stabilized finite element solution in its own subdomain using a global mesh that is locally refined around its own subdomain. For the stabilization, three stabilization approaches (namely, subgrid stabilization method, finite element variationalmultiscale method based on two local Gauss integrations, and defect-correction method) are considered. Theoretical analyses for the algorithms are given. Series of numerical tests will also be presented, including the 2D and 3D lid-driven cavity flow, the flow over a backward-facing step and the flow past a circular cylinder.


报告人简介尚月强,西南大学太阳成集团tyc539教授,博士生导师。主要从事偏微分方程数值解、计算流体力学和并行计算方面的研究,研究兴趣包括流体力学中的高效数值方法,并行数值代数,有限元方法,两重网格方法,区域分解算法等。2009年毕业于西安交通大学获理学博士学位,2010年10月至2011年10月在韩国仁荷大学从事博士后研究,曾到瑞典于默奥大学和林奈大学访学。主持国家自然科学基金项目2项、教育部留学回国人员基金项目1项、省级科技基金项目4项。在《J. Comput. Phys.》《Comput. Methods Appl. Mech. Engrg.》《中国科学:数学》等国内外期刊发表论文50余篇,其中SCI收录30余篇。
