摘要：Which positive operators in a factor von Neumann algebra can be written as sums of projections? This question was studied by Vitor Kaftal, Ping Wong Ng, and Shuang Zhang. They obtained beautiful results on the question. In this talk, we report some new progress on the question. This is a joint work with Xinyan Cao and Zhaolin Yao.

简介:房军生，河北师范大学教授，博士生导师，主要研究方向为泛函分析和算子代数，在Journal of Functional Analysis等国际知名杂志上发表20余篇数学论文。获得了国家优秀青年基金，国家重点项目基金，面上项目基金和新世纪优秀人才基金支持。
