报告摘要:Consider a faithful n-transitive action of an infinite group G on an infinite set X for some positive integer n>1. Denote by H the stabilizer group of any point in X.
In this talk, we discuss the problem of describing all intermediate von Neumann subalgebras between L(H) and L(G). We will explain motivations to study this problem, present partial answers. As applications, we present an explicit example of prime p.m.p. action of PSL_2(Q), i.e. it admits no non-trivial quotient actions; we show L(SL_2(Z)) is a maximal Haagerup von Neumann subalgebra in L(Z^2 \rtimes SL_2 (Z)) and present a unified way to answer a question of Prof. Ge. Part of this talk is based on joint work with Prof. Adam Skalski.
报告人简介:大连理工大学数学科学学院副教授,硕士生导师。2017年于纽约州立大学布法罗分校数学系获博士学位,研究领域为算子代数及动力系统。其研究成果发表于Journal of Functional Analysis, Mathematische Annalen等期刊上。
