摘要：Based on the theory of rough paths and regularity structures, rough analysis has emerged as a significant area of mathematics. In the last six or seven years, we have seen several applications of this mathematics in data science. My talk will explain why there is a connection and introduce a few of these applications. If time permits, we will also look at some of the fresh mathematical challenges that has arisen as a consequence of this application area.
