摘要：In this talk, we shall report for some recent results on an eigenvalue problem for self-adjoint Hormander operators on non-equiregular sub-Riemannian manifolds.Using the Rayleigh-Ritz formula and the sub-elliptic heat kernel estimates, we establish the upper bounds of eigenvalues which depend on the volume of subunit ball and the measure of the manifold. Under a certain condition, we obtain the explicit upper bounds of eigenvalues which have the polynomial growth in k with the optimal order related to the non-isotropic dimension of the manifold.

简介：陈化，武汉大学太阳成集团tyc539院教授、博士生导师；武汉大学数学协同创新中心主任，国家基金委数学学科评委，湖北省暨武汉数学会理事长。陈化教授曾多次以访问教授身份应邀赴欧(英、法、德、意、比利时等)、美、日本和新加坡以及我国的香港和台湾地区访问讲学及合作研究，并多次应邀在牛津大学、剑桥大学、伦敦帝国理工学院、巴黎十一大、加州大学Berkeley分校、波恩大学、东京大学、京都大学和新加坡国立大学等国际一流大学做学术报告。陈化的研究方向为偏微分方程的微局部分析理论，奇异型和退化型偏微分方程，具生物和医学背景的偏微分方程和偏微分方程的谱理论。担任国外刊物《 Journal of Kinetic and Related Models（美国应用数学研究所）》、《International J. of Numerical Analysis and Modeling, 加拿大ISCI》、《J. of Pseudo-Differential Operators and Applications, 德国Birkhauser》杂志编委，国内《Acta. Math. Sci.》、《数学学报》、《应用数学》等刊物的编委以及《数学杂志》的主编。参加八五国家重点项目（1993-1995）、九五国家重点项目（1996-2000）、十一五国家重点项目（2007-2011）、主持十二五国家重点项目（2012-2016），主持国家杰出青年基金(2001-2004)、国家海外杰出青年合作基金（2009-2011）、国家自然科学基金委国际合作局立项的协议国际合作项目六项，为973核心数学国家重大项目项目组成员（2001-2006），主持国家教育部项目9项（包括曾获国家教育部跨世纪优秀人才基金(1998-2000)）。
