摘要：For a homotopy class of maps between a closed Riemannian manifold and a general manifold, it is interesting to find a Dirac-harmonic map in the given homotopy class. Most known results require the index of the Dirac operator along the homotopy class to be nontrivial. In this talk, we will recall these results and then introduce our recent result about the trivial index case. Precisely, we define a new quantity. By the homotopic invariance of this new quantity, we can generalize our previous existence result to the trivial index case. This talk is based on my joint work with Jürgen Jost, Linlin Sun.
