摘要：Connes-Kasparov conjecture is about the computation about the K-theory of the reduced group C*-algebra of reductive Lie group, which is a special case for the famous BaumConnes conjecture. In this talk, I will briefly talk about the history of the conjecture and its application to representation theory, index theory etc. In particular, I discuss the explicit structure of the group C*algebra up to Morita equivalence. The main tool we used is the classification of the tempered representation of the reductive Lie group.

简介：Yanli Song is currently an associated professor in Washington University in St. Louis. He obtained his Ph.d degree in Pennsylvania State University in 2013, and worked as a postdoc in University of Toronto and Dartmouth College. He joined Washington University in St. Louis in 2017. His research interest is about noncommutative geometry, index theory.
