摘要：A k-ribbon tiling is a decomposition of a connected skew diagram into disjoint ribbons of size k. In this talk, I will describe a new connection between a subset of k-ribbon tilings and Petrie symmetric functions, thus providing a combinatorial interpretation for the coefficients in a Pieri-like rule for the Petrie symmetric functions due to Grinberg (2022). This also extends a result by Cheng et al. (2023). As a bonus, our findings can be effectively utilized to derive certain specializations. This talk is based on the joint work with Naihuan Jing and Ning Liu.

简介：靳宇，厦门大学数学科学学院教授，博士生导师。主要研究方向是组合数学。2005年西南大学本科毕业，2010年南开大学组合数学中心博士毕业，之后在德国Kaiserslautern大学，奥地利维也纳科技大学和维也纳大学做博士后研究。德国洪堡学者，曾主持过德国国家基金委DFG的个人项目和奥地利国家基金委FWF的Elise Richter项目，2021年回国，入职厦门大学，国家级青年人才项目获得者。现主持国家自然基金委青年项目。
